On June 3, 2002, Lynn's life changed dramatically when she was involved in a single-car accident. She sustained a traumatic brain injury, which left her unable to continue her work as a paramedic. After a long struggle, Lynn learned to walk and talk again, although she was left with a short-term memory deficit.

With the encouragement of her husband, Brad, and the guidance of her friend, Claudia, Lynn took up painting. Lynn now creates artwork for projects that have use in the home, such as the mouse pads and coffee mugs that are featured at The Smithy.

Lynn lives in Warren with Brad, and Dog.
