Delicious Summer Salad Ideas

You can add many ingredients to fresh greens to make tasty, healthy salads. Begin by washing and spinning dry your greens, and experiment with adding spinach or arugula to your normal lettuce blends. Then, add combinations of whatever you have and/or like. Here are some of our favorites for you to consider:

- Apples, dried cranberries, toasted walnuts or pecans (toasting brings out flavor), and gorgonzola cheese.

- Chopped boiled egg, diced ham, turkey, or bacon, shredded carrots and cheese, olives, a can of any flavor beans- rinsed, and avocado.

- Tomato, cucumber, celery, peppers, red onion, fresh basil, oregano, and feta cheese.

- Strawberries and goat cheese.

- Pears and bleu cheese.

- Grilled chicken or left-over sliced steak.

As you can see, almost anything goes! Usually a simple vinaigrette dressing will be a healthy addition to your salad, and will enhance the flavors of all of your ingredients. Enjoy!
